SNOW IN HOUSTON!!!

Ok...I just couldn't leave this out....we had SNOW in HOUSTON!!  It was absolutely beautiful!!  I think overall we had ~2-4 inches.

This may be the only picture I'll ever have of our house with snow on it, so I had to share....enjoy....

Drako's Thought For The Day......

Are we going to get any more of that white stuff....it was so cold...and a little scary....good thing mommy had me to protect her!  I taught that white stuff a lesson....first I barked at it and then I ran outside and tried to "bite it".  It went away soon....I think I scared it off....

29 Weeks!!

I can't believe I am doing this....as part of this post will include a picture of me and my every growing belly...affectionately referred to as the "butterball turkey"!  I can hardly believe how fast my belly and the baby are growing now...and people just keep saying "just wait"....

Soooo.....Drum roll please.......here is the pic.....(no jokes, please)....

Also, it is hard to believe that we are this far along...I have almost forgotten those very rough first 4 months...I said ALMOST!  I am feeling well now and we are trying to get things done before she gets here.

The nursery is a work in progress and hopefully I'll have some good pics to post soon.

As for our sweet little Kali....at 29 weeks she weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is getting bigger to accommodate her growing brain — which is busy developing billions of neurons.

And as her mommy can attest, she is also moving around like a little "wiggle worm".  She is definitely very active and loves to "kick for her daddy".  Yes....that's right....Mike expects her to kick on command.  Interestingly enough...she ususally complies!

We can't wait for her to get here....the countdown is on!

Formal Living Room

The formal living area...the only room in the house that has painted walls...we did decorate this room and we like it...we were going for a wine bar / jazzy style...but it took us like 3 years to get it all put together...we need help!

View from just inside the front door in the entryway.
